What we measure
What we take off your drawings.
Framing
Beams, columns and bracing in kg per shape (W, HSS, angles, channels).
Deck
Metal and composite deck in m², with edges and opening reinforcement.
Miscellaneous metals
Stairs, railings, lintels and supports, counted separately from framing.
Connections and finishes
Base plates, bolts, connection allowance, primer and galvanizing.

Watch out for
What we often see missing from a bid.
- Connections designed by the fabricator’s engineer, not on the drawings but definitely in the price.
- Deck reinforcement at roof openings and mechanical units.
- Fireproofing and finish paint, which usually belong to another package.
